Cleaning wine and beer stains – If the stains are on carpets, shampoo the stained area with mild detergent. If the stain does not get lighter, use any product available in market specifically formulated to clear these stains. To remove beer and wine stains from fabrics, use washing instructions before you soak these fabrics in mild detergent. Washing off these stains from upholstery is a tricky job. However, it can be cleaned with 1:5 solutions of vinegar and water by first sponging the area with warm water and then rubbing it with the solution. After removing the stain, dab the area clean with water and then with paper towels to absorb the water.
Cleaning curry stains – Though curries make your food lip smacking, curry stains are just as tough to remove as wine or coffee stains. So keep a stain remover handy whenever your menu includes curries. To remove stains on carpets, first apply a prescribed stain removal treatment and wash off remaining marks with shampoo and water. First remove stains with liquid detergent then wash it with regular detergent. Old curry stains on fabrics can be treated with hydrogen peroxide. For removal of curry stains from upholstery it is best to seek professional help though you can try hydrogen peroxide solution too.
Removing coffee stains – To remove coffee from carpets, first sponge the coffee stain with cold water and then shampoo the carpet with a tough detergent. Fabric coffee stains can be removed by soaking the cloth in a solution of warm water and washing soda, after which it can be washed in hot water. Coffee stains on upholstery have to be sponged immediately with cold water. The next step is to dab that section with mild detergent and water, which can be rinsed and blotted dry.
